The program gives various levels of training  in areas of employee management, Agile coaching, key technical programming tools and techniques, and transformation management. The week includes a number of speaker series, workshops, meetings, and a dinner barcamp!

Corporate culture speaker Alex Barrera is a widely known start-up mentor and is the Chief Peanut & Culture Officer here at Tetuan Valley. Aside from his knowledge on the corporate culture of the most powerful international startups of today, he has spoken at numerous events on entrepreneurship, venture capital, growth companies, etc.

Corporate Culture

How critical is corporate culture when it comes to a company´s success? Believe it or not, corporate culture is emerging as the #1 asset for companies today. A recent article from Fortune outlines the importance of this topic with an excerpt from Warren Buffet´s most recent letter to Berkshire Hathaway shareholders:

…Our final advantage is the hard-to-duplicate culture that permeates Berkshire. And in businesses, culture counts.

…Cultures self-propagate. Winston Churchill once said, “You shape your houses and then they shape you.” That wisdom applies to businesses as well. Bureaucratic procedures beget more bureaucracy, and imperial corporate palaces induce imperious behavior. (As one wag put it, “You know you’re no longer CEO when you get in the back seat of your car and it doesn’t move.”) At Berkshire’s “World Headquarters” our annual rent is $270,212. Moreover, the home-office investment in furniture, art, Coke dispenser, lunch room, high-tech equipment –you name it–totals $301,363.”

Corporate culture is the DNA of a company, without it we cannot expect to operate at our fullest potential. So don´t miss out on this awesome opportunity! To learn more about participating in ScrumWeek Madrid 2011 check out their site.
