We’ve been working and talking with our alumni for a while about this, but we can finally make it public. Yeah, you read the title correctly, we’re throwing a super Tetuan Valley Summit in Zaragoza this year!!
We are very excited about this, it’s the first time we’re putting together our teams from Madrid and Barcelona, our mentors, our friends and our alumni all in a single location, the Digital Water Pavillion (DWP) in Zaragoza.
So, what are we going to do? The summit is an event from Tetuan Valley, to Tetuan Valley, that is, from entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs. We want to have a great time with our teams, alumni and friends, so that’s what we plan on doing.
Before going on to the schedule of the event, we want to thank both of our amazing sponsors and which basically are making this possible, the first one is the Fundación Zaragoza Ciudad del Conocimiento, more specifically its head, Ricardo Pedrol who is the driving force of making this event happen. They’re lending us the DWP and more but basically he’s probably one of the few people that really get entrepreneurship in Spain and is really doing things to try and help them, including all the activities of the Fundación plus events like Innovate! 2010. On the other hand, special thanks to Alsa Autobuses, which are the sponsors that are making the transportation of our teams from Madrid and Barcelona a reality! They rock and it’s great to see them active on the Internet. We’ll make sure you guys see a lot of #ALSAHack hashtags during our trip 
So now to the schedule, the summit will happen on Friday May 13th, 2011, that is, Friday NEXT WEEK. Yeah, you heard it right. Buses will depart from Madrid and Barcelona at 8:30am sharp.

- 12:30-12:45 Introduction
- 12:45-13:15 Barcelona Top 3 teams pitch
- 13:15-14:00 Hackathon results
- 14:00-16:00 Lunch
- 16:00-16:30 Madrid Top 3 teams pitch
- 16:30 – 17:30 Battledecks
- 17:30-18:15 Keynote speaker
- 18:30 Leave Zaragoza
- 22:00 Arrive Madrid/Barcelona
- Hackathon: If you signed up you will be coding something of your choosing on the bus ride over to Zaragoza, so get creative. When we get to Zaragoza all participants will share what they did, and then we will pick a winner. The winner will get a prize. We don´t know what yet, probably a Hello Kitty.
- Top 3 Teams: 3 teams from each city will be chosen to present to the group.
- Battledecks: For those of you who don´t know what a battledeck is here is a video. To summarize it is a “think on your feet” exercise where participants are asked to pitch out slides that they have never seen before… and that are usually pretty random. We will be accepting four people who want to participate, first four to ask get it.
- KeyNote Speaker: To be determined.
