Today I’m going to talk about a situation that happens to me many times and probably to many of you…
There are days that I think… today I will be productive, I do a thousand things and without a clear target I turn on the computer.
3 hours later I stop and think, shit! I haven’t done anything! I´ve wasted my time updating my twitter status, looking at photos of my friends on facebook and seeing a video of cats on youtube.
Internet is full of distractions that keep us from our goals, this is why I recommend you all to grab paper, a pen and write at least 5 tasks with the most important things done.
It´s important to write it down on paper, because if we make a list of tasks in your computer with notepad we will probably not leave our minds in blank and be more concentrated.
Once you’ve made the list, try to complete them all in one day!
I hope this piece of advice will help you!

Today, I want to share a recent situation with everyone.
I initially launched brucut as a place where you can upload photos of hairstyles, simple right?
a few days ago I noticed that a hair salon in Peru uploaded a photo with their address and phone number.
I thought that was awesome! they would be using my site to promote themselves, from there I saw the need for hairdressers to prepare profiles that could inform users better about services, hours, address, etc.
The message that i want to convey in this post is that you can get an idea of how users will use your web, but most users will sometimes break the mold and that’s not negative, it just means that they have found another utility.

Today I went to talk about my project brucut.com a “social Network for users & professionals in the Beauty sector or passionate about looks” to the salon look international Madrid, an event that brings together companies, professionals, vendors and people who like fashion.
2 days before the event I was working a lot to get a running demo.
The day arrived and I wanted to bring my laptop to explain my idea better. Before leaving I saw that my laptop wasn’t fully charged so I made sure to make and print screenshots of the web in case I ran out of battery.
The day ended and I realized that I had not taken out my laptop once, everyone had understood me perfectly without making demos.
If you want to present your project to someone you do not know, forget about powerpoints and live demos on the computer for 5 reasons:
- People will understand you better
- You will not waste time taking your computer out
- You will not look bad if the site does not load
- Paper doesn´t weights as much, so your back will thank you
- You will be able to present the project to 6 people or more at the same time
