Carabanchel Accelerator

Tetuan Valley manages the public pre-incubator/accelerator space at the Vivero de Carabanchel.

The Vivero

The Vivero de Carabanchel is one of seven Viveros run by ¡Madrid Emprende! To date they have helped hundreds of projects through their incubators and accelerators, creating more than 500 new jobs.

Tetuan Valley offers projects at the Accelerator:

- Consulting
Events & Activities
- Incubator space

Implications

So what does this mean for our community?

- The teams in the Vivero are getting access to full time Okuri entrepreneur training services, our huge network of mentors , and many more events and presentations

- The Tetuan Valley network now has two access points for all events. For the convenience of the entrepreneurs we will broadcast all events at both locations

- The Tetuan Valley family is growing faster and bigger than ever – look out for a huge increase in events, talks, meet-ups, and visibility in our community

To stay updated about what is going on over at the Vivero Please check out the BulletinThe Viveros´ Events Calendar, and Tetuan Valley Events (which will also have all Carabanchel events posted on it).

Who is this for?

Any early-stage startup: from the unincorporated “I have a dream” stage to young S.L.´s who just need some help getting their first clients- we don´t discriminate.

Requirements

The only hard and fast requirement we have is need for acceleration. So give special care to the sections of the application that ask  why you want to be here, instead of just working from home.

A normal stay at the accelerator is 1-5 months depending on the needs of the team.  Duration of stay will depend on setting goals that you want Okuri´s help in achieving. Once those goals are achieved the project will graduate from the accelerator but still have access to all events at the Vivero and consulting from the team as needed.

Some examples of “typical” milestones we try to complete during a startup´s time at the accelerator:

- Define the proyect
- Market Study (Testing)
- Creation of a Minimum Viable Product
- Launch plan
- Creation and utilization of social networks
- Creation of publicity and communication
- Traction
- Strategy/ Implementation of marketing plan
- Sales
- Strategy/ Implementation for finding clients
- Pricing Strategy
- Creating financial model
- Creating one pagers (presentation page for investors and clients)
- Pitch presentation for investors and clients
- Business Plan
- Alpha/ Beta demo products
- Constituting the business
- Search for financing
- Progression to external programs

(we know there is no “typical” startup, so please keep in mind these are flexible)

There is no team size or composition requirement. We can work in either Spanish or English or both. We also accept non- tech teams to this program.

Expectations

We expect teams to :

- Take advantage of events and courses

- Actively participate in the co-working environment

- Get involved and make this space better than it was when you got here

If you just want a spinny chair and an Ikea desk this place is not for you!

We will have regular meetings to track progress, set objectives, and evaluate your project. Sometimes we will ask for other small things- normally having to do with improving the visibility of the accelerator and the projects in it.
